Six-week Summer Program

Our Summer Dance Session is a 6-week program that meets once a week (except for those on the competition/performance Line). The summer program is a great opportunity to see if dance is a good fit for your child, before committing to the nine-month program. The competition and Performance team are required to take technique classes in addition to their performance class during the summer. There is no registration fee for summer classes. Hollywood Studio of Dance reserves the right to cancel/combine classes due to insufficient enrollment numbers.

Competition Performance Line

Dancers ranging in ages 5 to 50+ and are comprised of five Performance Line teams.

The Performance Line groups perform at various community events/festivals and churches.  They also compete in local and national dance competitions. Auditions are held between June -August to allow recruits to participate. Each Performance Line group is required to take at least two technique classes per week in addition to their specific performance group class and compete every year in two local, state, or regional competitions. Every other year Performance Line groups compete in a national dance competition.

The Performance Line Program offers students an opportunity to excel and practice their craft outside of the studio experience. Performing publicly and competitively challenges students to learn the value of commitment, dependability, and the importance of operating in teams. Additionally, competing on state, regional, and national levels exposes students to diverse groups of people and provides experiences outside of their immediate community.
